Kohl's Internship Project #1

During the Summer upon my senior graduation, I undertook an internship at Kohl's corporate office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. In the role of the Apparel Design Intern for Men's FLX, I actively contributed to the team's daily operations and engaged in two design challenges, enhancing my skills and gaining valuable experience in the process. For the first design challenge I was tasked to find a white space opportunity within my brand (FLX) and create a line to address the needs of the consumer that aren't currently being met. After a thorough examination of the current offerings, I identified a gap in the men's FLX lineup. With the rising popularity in court sports like tennis and pickleball, I decided to bring in a line fully encompassing the idea of versatile athleisure that our urban commuter can wear at work and bring to the court. Towards the end, I worked with our vendors to create a 3D sample of the court short and got a physical sample of them shipped to the office.
